Re-watching Season 4’s seventh episode “Dethcamp,” I noticed the music during Toki’s dismissal of Rock-a-Roonie Fantasy Camp seemed familiar. I’ve queued this clip to the right spot:
It’s very reminiscent of Season 3’s “Fatherklok,” during the flashback to Skwisgaar’s childhood discovery of his first guitar.
Toki’s theme has a little more choir and Skwisgaar’s focuses on strings, but they both feature sweeping electric synth and feel like an epic release. Consciously or subconsiously, I believe Brendon Small is connecting these moments.
